Bringing Jazz to the Heart of East Grinstead

The East Grinstead Jazz Festival is a celebration of outstanding live music, community spirit and local culture. Founded and organised by Jenny Green, the festival was created to bring world-class jazz to East Grinstead while showcasing the town's wonderful venues, businesses and welcoming atmosphere. Since its launch, it has grown into one of the highlights of the town's cultural calendar, attracting musicians and audiences from across the South East.

A Weekend of Live Music

Held each August, the festival transforms East Grinstead into a vibrant destination for jazz lovers. Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy headline concerts, free performances, outdoor jazz trails, workshops, intimate club sessions and family-friendly events. From traditional New Orleans jazz and swing to Latin, blues, funk and contemporary styles, the festival offers something for everyone, whether you're a lifelong jazz enthusiast or discovering the music for the first time.

Supporting Our Community

The festival has a purpose beyond music. It proudly supports Being Neighbourly, a local charity dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation by connecting volunteers with people in the community who need practical support and companionship. By attending the festival, audiences are not only enjoying exceptional live music, but also helping to support a cause that makes a genuine difference to local people's lives.
